ease your feet in the sea
i'm back in america and have been for about a week and a half. i have to say that jet lag is a lot better coming back than it is going over.
christmas was nice and about as low key as a christmas in the shaw house can be. i decided to ignore new year's eve this year because i don't really remember last year's , which probably isn't good.
i've been doing some catch up reading over break. i'm finishing james meek's the people's act of love. i can't really decide if i like it or not, but i am constantly intrigued while i'm reading it. i keep feeling like something big is going to happen and hasn't yet. meek is british but he's really good at imitating the russian style of writing. i find that they're really eloquent about things that appear insignificant and then really brusque about things that seem important. such as "and then i ate my horse."
i've got to send my camera out to be fixed, and after having my ipod and hard drive crap out on me this semester, i've about had it with electronics alltogether.
other than that, not much is new other than the fact that i've got to completely rebuild my music library so any and all suggestions and cds are more than welcome.
lastly, rachel zack: are you coming to new york AT ALL?
