"this chap can't be british, he hasn't got a dog."

i feel like i'm actually living in london now, which is very nice. classes have started and i'm really enjoying them. the myth about the british sense of humor? not exaggerated by the way. it's fantastic.

i've been slowly working my way through the city which has left a few blisters on my feet and some wonderful pictures on my camera. i'll try to post them soon, once webshots decides to cooperate.

rachel won't be in copenhagen while i'm on break, so i'm going to have to find something else to do. i think that i might try and travel on my own, just for fun. maybe prague or edinburgh.

i've also had my first "celebrity" sighting. lesley and i were walking through leicester square when all of a sudden we were caught up in a crowd of screaming teenage girls. apparently, the cast of highschool musical were there. i still don't quite know what/who it/they is/are.

lastly,

things i love:
  • british grocery stores
  • hyde park
  • hearing british people make fun of rhode island
  • ice cream cones with 99 flakes
  • covent garden's jubilee market
things i don't love:
  • rude cyclists
  • cars that don't signal when they want to turn
  • italian tourists (they are everywhere)
  • tony blair
  • bu students who will only travel in crowds
