what comes after the light at the end of the tunnel?

hallelujah, i am saved! rachel is home for a few weeks before we both leave. (p.s. her home movie from cape cod with the sing-a-long/dance party is still the best thing ever. and i got to watch it again.) she's going rafting tomorrow which means that she will have seen my dad more than i have in an entire week. that should tell you something about my work schedule.

slightly less than one week until i go to boston, which i am very excited about. i should make a list of things i want to do, but i'll probably end up just riding the subway all day like the crazy homeless people, especially if ashley finds employment before i get there.


its august, and that means that i only have about a month left before school starts again and i'm starting to get more and more freaked out that my four year plan is coming to an end. i've been scrambling to come up with a new one, involving asking professors and bosses for recommendations to put on file which is a frighteningly grown-up thing to do. i think the whole peace corps/grad school thing is just a ploy to defer becoming an actual adult.

i bet if i had a shrink that's what he or she would write in their notebook while pretending to agree with me.
